The New Inn

Local historians believe there was a coach house or inn this site prior to the 1860’s, how ever more recently The New Inn can rightfully claim to be one of the first pubs in the Leeds City area to have a designated family or children’s room.

Popular belief is that the pub was built to cater for the needs of the farmers and farm labourers that toiled the land around the surrounding area.

The site of the New Inn is surrounded by over five acres of beautiful countryside, within easy reach of several country parks, narure reserves and areas of outstanding natural beauty

Set to the North West of the Leeds City centre in West Yorkshire we have direct access to all the metropolitan resources of that great City.

The New Inn has well maintained and apportioned premises having period character that predates all the current regulars and the management team that now runs the pub.

The New Inn offers customers the following amenities

Our warm & cosy main lounge and bar area accommodating about 40+ people

A more intimate snug area accommodating about 20+ people

our new and separate restaurant and buffet area that accommodates about about 28 people

Our large but totally separate children’s room housed within the main building but sited well away from the main bar areas easily accommodating about 40+ people.

In winter The New Inn has a log burning fire - ideal for those crisp winter nights.

The New Inn is a truly traditional local country pub, with a public bar allowing most traditional pub games. We hold many events during the week ranging from pop and general knowledge quiz nights, pool nights and darts / dominoes nights.

The New Inn also hosts several music festivals throughout the year for special needy causes both inside the main pub premises and in "The Venue" our own marquee site set on land behind the New Inn itself.

The New Inn serves Tetley’s drought Bitter as standard.  It is rumored by some that this ale forms part of the recreational diet of the many regulars (and not so regulars) that frequent The New Inn at Eccup.

We offer Fosters Carling and Stella largers on drought

We also offer a vast array of branded and guest bottled beers and alcho pops

We rotate guest beers according to the season and these have included :-

Black Sheep Bitter - First produced and marketed in 1991. Paul Theakston (a former director and member the renowned Theakston family) is responsible for this excellent beer

Timothy Taylor's Landlord - A Gold medal winner at the 1999 Camra Beer Festival and apparently a firm favorite of that well known pop diva Madonna !!.

Tetley’s Dark Mild - a traditional ale

John Smiths Smooth Bitter - a popular beer

Guiness - the worlds finest stout ale

All our drought ales are kept in superb condition in our clean chilled and well stocked and  maintained beer cellar.

We also stock drought and bottled ciders.

The current New Inns licensee is Miss Kirsty Ibbotson.

It is also no fluke that sales of their drought ales have increased year upon year whilst many other pubs in the Leeds area are actually reducing the number of beers they offer.

Within our premises we can cater for all types of parties, be they Wedding Receptions, Birthdays, Anniversaries or even Divorce Parties

Externally we have a large spacious tarmac surfaced car park area along with a several areas of well maintained paved and grassed beer gardens along with other dedicated play areas for the kids.
